Showed it to my coworker and he said in seriousness "Don't watch that too long, it'll burn your eyes." Thought he meant not to watch it in real life, but no, he thought the video needed a filter to protect your eyes. Sadly, he's a PC technician and should know better.

I think it's called a Cobra weld. It's used by Rolls Royce for aircraft turbines and such.

Walking the cup, and cobra are very similar but different welds. Both are pretty sweet to see.

I saw a guy who's coffee shop I visited once use this weld in his back room. He had a bigger collector installed for his Probat and he customized some of the piping around the room for different delivery. He tried welds like this on different piping and I was so anmored with his stock room that we just shot the shit about his custom work.
