Yeah, it will.

If you read the article you'll see that the new chip will have literally twice as many as an 980ti and almost twice as much as the new AMD fury cards as well. It should really be a beast of a GPU.

My guess is, look for cards all generally in the same price range as today. But if AMD has nothing competitive, look for about a $50 price jump. It will be an interesting time.

Did that article imply a new interface because pcie x16 is limiting current high end graphics cards? I must be 4k resolutions making bandwidth an issue. It would be amazing running a 4k monitor at 60 or more FPS with game settings maxed out.

My absolute goal for my next rig is a 40 inch 4K HDTV and enough horsepower to run it from my GPU. A VR headset will probably be added at some point as well.
