everyone's favorite game genres

while we are in the limbo between now and star citizen, what genres and styles of games does everyone like? personally i like shooters and strategy games. the games i like the most are the total war games, FTL, red orchestra 2, titanfall, and the fallout games. i enjoy historical games and anything to do with military/ability to conquer world (Civ diplomatic victory ftw) but i do enjoy wondering finding new things to shoot/punch in the face. so as a summary i could say i like anything historic/sci-fi/warfare/exploring which pretty much covers all the games these days

I like simulators the most - aircraft and space sims; the more realistic the better. FPS's like Counter-Stick are fun too. But I think what I like most about any of these is getting a group together and a coordinating against another group.

I've had fun with open world games like Fallout 4 and Farcry 4, also some Age of Empires 2 with the expansions. More recently I've gotten back into fighting games like SSBM and now Marvel Contest of Champions on the phone. I've also been playing osrs for a while now.

I play War Thunder and some times World of Warships. Microsoft flight sim. Steam Edition

Definitely FPS. That's why I haven't gotten into many MMO's. I can't stand third person perspective except when driving land vehicles.

I play Warframe on XB1 quite a bit, so I guess that's FPS for the most part. I play a few other titles on that platform - Assassin's Creed Syndicate, Fallout 4, etc. I will be playing Division on Tuesday. On the PC, I play Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm... along with Star Citizen.

Stealth action games or any open world game where I can sneak around stabbing people in the back. The older Splinter Cell games, Metal Gear Franchise, and Dishonored are some of my favorites with honorable mentions going to Fallout New Vegas, Skyrim, and the older Assassin's Creed games. I am currently in an unhealthy relationship with Planetside 2 since it's the only multi-player game that scratches this itch for me but any Mmo or class based shooter that has a thief/assassin/rogue archetype can usually drag me away for a few months. Predictably, you'll find me hanging around the 'verse in my Herald whenever Star Citizen drops.

Most likely going to be giving the Division a shot, but I want to wait for reviews first as the beta wasn't an entirely pleasant experience for me.
